Find Anybody’s Contact Information Online for Free

There were many times when I needed a friend’s contact information and it was not in the phone books (online and offline) because he or she opted to be unlisted. Losing contact information and not being able to find it can be very annoying. But, I like to think that the Internet has the answer to almost all of life’s questions. I believe that it contains most of the information known to man. One just needs to have the right tools and know the right ways to tap this information bank (no pun intended).
There are three places that I look when the white pages do not help.
ZabaSearch
I ran across this site in my previous job when worked for a doctor. We were trying to lookup the contact information of deadbeat patients who dodged our medical bills. A coworker suggested ZabaSearch. CBS 4 WMOV describes ZabaSearch as “Google on steroids.” It lists the unlisted entities for free! ZabaSearch scours public record information from many sources. The databases in its search include phone listings, court records, real estate records, subscriptions, and others. Other times, ZabaSearch obtains records from companies, whose main purpose is to gather, generate, compile, house, and sell public information. These are the companies that supply credit card companies with contact information of many potential customers.
To use this site, enter portions of the name. Selection of the state is optional. ZabaSearch will then display all potential matches, including the ones with just the initials of the first or last name. Beside the name (or initials), it will list either the street, city, state, or birthday. Most of the time, it is a combination of the four. It is the viewer’s job to sift through the information for the entry that is most accurate. This works better than online white pages. There is one drawback though: in the extensive list of searched databases, I’ve often found old contact information of people I knew.
Background Check
If the results from ZabaSearch are not enough, probably the best thing to do is to pay. I hear Intelius is a great way to find out information about somebody. Not only does it give you the contact information, it will also give you birthdays, household members, income, criminal reports, lawsuits, relatives, and more. It’s pretty scary!
Visit these sites sometime. It’s an eye opening experience to see what kind of information is available to the public for free. Comment on your results!
